Tunde2deep, aka Babatunde Akinleye, started as a combat MC, earning the name "2Deep" for the profound nature of his songs. Despite making music since 2006, his first official track dropped in 2013. Tapping into Afro-fusion, Afro-pop, Afro-reggae, Afro-RnB, and World Music, Tunde weaves a rich musical tapestry reflecting diverse life struggles. Preferring exploration over genre constraints, his deliberate creative process considers emotional audience responses. Tunde's intuitive approach, often accompanied by meditation, rejects artificiality, seeing music as a spiritual, unexplainable experience.

Tunde2deep meticulously prepares for recording, showcasing therapeutic expression and emotional honesty in his music. Viewing music as a calming and blissful means of self-expression, he gained a following despite financial challenges. Inspired by Kanye West's "Jesus Walks," Tunde realized he could overcome difficulties through music. Jay-Z continues to be a lasting influence on his musical journey.

In an effort to showcase his craftsmanship, Tunde2deep is excited to show his admirers his most recent creations. His goal is to make relatable music that leaves a lasting positive impression on listeners.

COME UP STORY

In his story he says that: "For a very long time, rap was the catalyst for me since, back in high school, I purchased DMX's "Flesh of My Flesh," which was the first album I ever bought. My friends used to call me DMX, but at the time, I had no idea that I would become a musician. My perspective on rap was completely altered when I came across Kanye's debut album, which I believe was the catalyst for me to finally recognize myself as an artist and begin producing songs. After high school, I began battle rapping on the streets of Lagos. After meeting a few producers, I signed a contract in 2006. But, things with the label didn't work out, so I had to attend college. I'm still here, still spewing, still pushing, and I've never stopped writing, recording, or creating beats. WE CHANGE..
